ViaStat uses a Geographical Information System (GIS). This means crash data is linked to the digital road network in the area you manage, and can be presented in digital maps. The GIS is integrated in ViaStat in a highly user-friendly manner. In addition to various presentation options, the system also allows you to conduct more in-depth analyses using geographical selections from the map.ViaStat uses digital mapping material from Tele Atlas, one of the world’s leading companies in this area. The digital maps provided by Tele Atlas are used by both numerous car navigation system manufacturers as well as companies such as Google and TomTom. This means you are guaranteed digital maps of exceptionally high quality. In addition, periodical updates ensure you always have access to the very latest version. Use of the maps and updates are both included in the ViaStat subscription fee; one less administrative hassle to worry about.
