Roadworks and Events

It is not the delay and disruption experienced by road users during roadworks that determines the driver’s experience of traffic congestion, but rather the availability, relevance and reliability of the information provided. The key concepts are reliability and acceptance.

The consultancy agency VIA operates in two fields: traffic consultancy services and practical traffic and transport software applications. All our software is web-based. The Tele Atlas base maps (Google Maps) provide a lot of reliable information, with accurate positioning.

Roadworks & Events:

• Mapping the roadworks in ViaStat helps obtain an overview of the roadworks and events and to manage them. This makes it possible to provide both the relevant road authorities and road users with up-to-date and precise information concerning the roadworks.
• The mapping and/or analysis functionality provides you with a straightforward way to monitor projects, for example in terms of planning. You are also able to request details regarding delay class, the type of roadworks or contact details of the relevant organisation or project leader.
• As well as planning and expected delay, diversion routes can also be communicated.

It is possible to use web services to display all activities automatically and dynamically on a map on your own website. As owner of the data, it is up to you whether or not you pass on your data to third parties.
